Welcome back from vacation time, this in case you have actually been on vacation. I've been absent but didn't really have a break, it is now time for hard work again and for big changes.
Barat(t)o è un progetto a cura di Ronny Franceschini, 13 artisti sono stati invitati a partecipare, ognuno di loro ha posato per un ritratto realizzato da Ronny ed in cambio l'artista ritrattato ha donato un opera come risposta al gesto.
Barat(t)o is a project curated by Ronny Franceschini, 13 artists have been invited to participate, each one of them has posed for a portrait that Ronny made and as a response each artist has donated an artwork.
Questi sono i frame del video che documenta la mia performance, il mio dono era lavare le mani del pittore dopo tutto il suo lavoro, ringraziandolo così per il suo tempo, la sua dedicazione, la sua contemplazione. Richiama anche l'atto della Maddalena cuando lava i piedi di Gesù.
These are some video frames from the documentation of my performance, my gift was to wash the painter's hands after all his hard work, thanking him for his time, his dedication and his contemplation. It is also a reference to the Madeleine's act of cleaning Jesus' feet.
Questa performance si intitola Allow III, ed è appunto la terza di una serie inziata nel 2006, nella quale interagendo con qualcuno, ci permettiamo a vicenda un gesto d'amore incondizionato senza pretendere niente in cambio e senza nessun interesse diverso dal semplice e puro gesto d'amore.
This performance is called Allow III, and it is the third of a series that began in 2006, each time I interact with someone else, allowing each other an unconditional love gesture without pretending anything back and without any interest different from the simple and pure gesture of love.
